MANUAL COLLABORATION: Session 01

There was a certain amount of trepidation for three digital artists leading up to their first manual collaborations together. None of the Triiike boys could predict if it was going to be a success or not, and we're still not sure, but we enjoy it! Original works are available for sale from these creative sessions...

THE PORTRAITS: Triiike

Well it may not be the Archibald, but Triiike took on the time honored task of portraiture. Each member had to illustrate all three members as a set. Here's your chance to see what their "uncombined" stylings are like. Highlights include, Ben's attempt at drawing Trav's nipples, Trav's attempt to make Sam look scary (and it worked!), and Sam's way of using geometry as the basis of his attempts.

THE TOTEMS: The original set

The latest Totems brief saw each member create a totem head from an illustrated wood template and then stacked to make a Totem pole. The boys then created a background or environment each to make a set of three final totem pole pieces. The results are crammed with in-jokes and bad-puns, but hey, they look good! Rumour has it that in the near future they may decide to throw the concept out there for other artists, so stay posted to possibly have a "triiike" at the Totem yourself!

PAY IT FORWARD:

The very first brief completed by Triiike, before they were even known as Triiike! A simple idea, each member created a shape to pass on to the next artist, who then adds a little more, slowly forming the final character. Once it was agreed that each character was completed, the member who drew the first element created a backdrop to finish the job. Pretty simple, but completely unpredictable... (just the way we like it).
